My Testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
byDear brethern and sisters,
First of all I want to thank my Heavenly Father for the awesome opportunity to share my testimony with all of you.
I was raised in the Seventh-Day-Adventist church for most of my life. During my years as a Seventh-Day-Adventist about 13 years ago. I met the most wonderful couple who introducted me to the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. My first time going to a sacrement metting it was during fast and testimony. I was not sure what to think at the time because everyone stood up and said the samething. After that I had talk to my girlfriend that I was dating and she told me that a testimony was something personal and not just learned. Then I lost contact with that family. Also I had read a ton of anti-mormon books. I realized everyone that wrote antibooks and literature were people who did not really have a testimony and want to follow the gospel. Then in 2004 I met up with the family and told them that I was preparing for baptism and would he baptize me. On the 25th of September 2004 I was baptized and confirmed a member of the church. On the 29th of September 2005 I recieved my endowment. I know without a shadow of doubt that Joseph Smith was a prophet and he did translate the Book of Mormon and the Pearl of Great Price, I know that the Doctrine and Covenantes were revelations from our Heavenly Father. I believe the Bible to be true as far as it has been translated correctly. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church on the face of this earth. I know that president Thomas S. Monson and he couselor and the other general authorities lead the church today. I know that temple work is the will of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ’s here on the earth for those who have past on through the veil. It is my hope and prayer that everyone of us would grow closer to the our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ everyday and become more like them is my humble testimony that I leave with you in the precious name of Jesus Christ amen.
