Mom in the Gospel
byI am a first generation mormon. My ex-husband joined the LDS with me but then returned to his Lutheran roots. We have 4 children. Only one has remained active in the LDS church. One is an agnostic, one an atheist and one believes in the LDS faith but is inactive. I love them all. How can I not? Their decisions are their own and despite the fact that they may not believe as I trained them up to believe, they are still my children and deserve my respect.
Webmaster: Well said, “Mom.” In the end as parents we can only do our best. Our children still have their free agency, and our love for them should be unconditional, even if we don’t always agree with their life choices. Best of luck to you.
