Find Out For Yourself

by Valerie

Being members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints brings my family and I much happiness. My husband and I will be celebrating our 18th anniversary this year. We have a strong and loving relationship. We are always looking out for one another. The Lord has blessed us with 3 children, all of whom have varying degrees of special needs. Amazingly, all 3 of them have done well in school. Two of them usually get straight A’s and the other one usually gets A’s and B’s. Their citizinship and behavior marks are always high. We are proud of all they accomplish despite their different challenges. I love and admire people of many different faiths. There are good people everywhere, who sincerely believe that their choice of faith is the right one. I believe the Lord hears everyone’s sincere prayers, regardless of their religion. He loves all of us, more than we can comprehend. The reason I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is because it has the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a restoration of Christianity of the Bible. And we believe Heavenly Father loves us so much that with the restoration of His church, we once again have prophets on the earth. We believe that all those who were born in circumstances where Christianity is unheard of, that after they die they will still have the chance to hear and accept the gospel and be saved. How wonderful is that???? I am so thankful in the atonement of Jesus Christ. None of us are perfect. Each one of us makes mistakes. It is because of our Savior, that we can repent of our sins and be made clean again. I know all of these things are true, not just in my heart, but also in my mind. It is not just a feeling, it is a knowledge. I have had spiritual experiences in my life that can leave no doubt of the reality of our father in heaven, our Savior Jesus Christ, and of the Holy Ghost (or Holy Spirit) who bears witness of them. This is why I am happy and have peace in my mind and heart despite challenges all around me. For this I am so thankful, beyond words. I want the whole world to know that the gospel of Jesus Christ can change lives! And the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a fullness of the gospel. If you are not a member of the church, I ask you to give it a chance. Read the Book of Mormon. Talk to the missionaries. Pray to the Lord. Find out for yourself if this is the true church or not. If there is apparent “convincing evidence” that the church is a fraud, know that the adversary will do everything in his power to convince people that it is a fraud. Or at the very least, Satan will try to convince people that mormons are descent people who are just “misguided”. I say to you, this is false. Again, find out for yourself if the church is what it claims to be. I love all of my brothers and sisters in Christ. I write and bear this testimony, in humility, in the holy and blessed name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, amen.
