Mormons make good Neighbors
byI live in St Louis and began meeting Mormon families when the LDS Temple was built and dedicated here.
Without fail, every single Mormon family I have met were “good folks.” Friendly, kind, and concerned about others. All families have problems and challenges, but it seems the Mormon families have the spiritual resources to keep the problems in their place.
I am a mother myself, so naturally I am drawn to speak to other mothers, some of whom happen to be Mormon. Their focus on their families and good values are readily apparent.
I know that Mormons are individual people, and as such, will not all fit a particular mold. But from my own experience, Mormons are good people with excellent values.
Most of the Mormon women I know have spoken to me about their religion, but not one has been disrespectful of my beliefs, nor pushy in any way about theirs. They want to share the joy, but they never try to force it on anyone.
I am not Mormon, but if my children chose to be, I would give tham my blessing and be happy for them.
