Since it was first published in English in 1830, the Book of Mormon has been fully translated into 72 languages.
How did mormons get their name? It's because we believe in The Book of Mormon, an ancient book of scripture that supports and complements the Holy Bible. Anti-Mormons gave us this nickname back in the 19th century. They meant it to be pejorative, but we ended up adopting the term.

While most Mormons are okay being called "Mormon," Mormons don't generally like it when people refer to their church as the "Mormon Church." I use this term only reluctantly on this site to appease Google. The church is properly called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We like the official name of our church because it emphasizes our belief in the divinity of our Savior, Jesus.
