One Response to “Suppose I died and I was single, what happens to me in the n…”

Hi friend. The Book of Mormon doesn't teach much about being single. In general, Mormons believe marriage, especially "temple marriage" (i.e., sealing), is important for spiritual progression after death. However, even those who by choice forgo the sealing ordinance can still go to a heaven if they are otherwise faithful and obedient to God, though their spiritual progression after death may be limited. On the other hand, no blessing will be denied to those who cannot be sealed in this life through no choice of their own, if they are otherwise faithful to the covenants (promises) they have made with God. This would include people who die too young to be sealed, people who struggle with same-gender attraction, converts whose spouse chooses not to join the Church, etc. Hope this answer helps.
