Hi, my name is Paulo, I’m from Brazil, and I’m 18. A month ago I met the church through some missionaries, and I decided to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, but my mother is creating many problems with the church (she is Catholic) and even forbade me to go to church, I’d like to know what I should do, I try to talk to her to explain but she does not want to hear me, what I do. Thank you. I hope the answer anxiously. Goodbye.

Through prayer, we can communicate with our Heavenly Father. He's anxious to guide and help us.
Hi Paulo,
I served my mission in Campinas, Sao Paulo, many years ago and I love the area and its people. You are in a tough position, one that will require a lot of prayer and faith. However, rest assured that you are not alone in this. There are many who have faced the same challenge as you. In the end, this is a decision that will be between you and the Lord. For those who are under 18 and still living under the care of their parents, the Church's advice is to honor the wishes of your parents. However, once you are an adult and are responsible for your own care, the decision ultimately becomes yours. Only God can tell you what is best for you. If you pray about this to your Heavenly Father, He will help you to know what to do and give you the strength and courage to do it.
