Can I come to a Mormon church for a few weeks without being Mormon to see if I would like to become one? If so, do most Mormons dress up for church or wear their regular wear like they do at my current church?

Hi friend. I'm happy you're interested in seeing how Mormons worship! In fact, typically people are not allowed to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints unless they've visited the church a few times. It's important to know how we worship so your decision to join the Church is well informed. As I mentioned in a response to your other question, you can learn the address of the Mormon chapel nearest your house online. Please don't hesitate to visit us (Sunday @ 9:00 AM). We really do love visitors. Just let the people you meet there know that you're a visitor, and I'm sure they'll be happy to help you. If you like, the Mormon missionaries could also accompany you to answer any questions you might have.
Mormons usually wear modest, formal clothing ("Sunday best") to church as a sign of respect for God. However, if you don't have clothes like that, or if you'd prefer not to ware them, feel free to come dressed however you like. Everyone in the church understands that those who visit our chapels are not always familiar with our customs. They'll just be happy you came to visit us, independent of how you're dressed. Hope this answer helps!
