I want you to help me be a member of the church because I’m passing through a difficult time in my life. I’ve lost my house and, more importantly, my family. I love my wife so much and my daughters. I miss them. I know that God has a purpose for me and I would like you to help me.

Hi Edwin. I'm sorry to hear that you've had so many challenges in your life lately. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to loose your house and your family. I sincerely hope your situation improves so you can recapture the happiness that God wants all His children to have. Never forget that He loves you.

Sometimes God sends a blessing into our lives at the very time when life seems most difficult. Your desire to join the Church is certainly such a blessing. When we have the gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives, our troubles don't suddenly disappear, but we find new spiritual strength to face those difficulties. From what you've written, you could use that kind of spiritual support right now. I encourage you to meet with some Mormon missionaries, volunteers who visit people in their homes and help them learn about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. You can request a missionary visit online. An article I recently wrote entitled "How can I Join the Church?" might also be helpful.

Please don't hesitate to send me any more questions you might have, Edwin. I sincerely hope you feel better soon. The missionaries will help strengthen you spiritually, and that spirituality will be a great help. May God bless you.
