For members of the church, Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God, our Savior and Redeemer through whom salvation is made possible. (Reflections of Christ)
Hi friend. I'm happy you're learning more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I sincerely love being a member of this church. My faith in Jesus Christ has gotten me through some very hard times, and the wonderful Mormon community has always been so supportive. I've found tremendous spiritual peace as I've learned about Jesus Christ in this Church. I hope your interest in the gospel of Christ continues to grow!
There are two factors that need to be considered when deciding when to be baptized. On one hand, it's important that you take the time to get to know the church and to feel a spiritual confirmation that this is Christ's restored gospel. On the other hand, it's also important to resist the natural human tendency to procrastinate major life changes, even when those changes are changes for the better. It's a great blessing to be a member of this church. It's not good or prudent to delay membership beyond what is needed to receive that important spiritual confirmation. The time it takes to receive that confirmation does vary widely from person to person, however.
