Hi friend. The church has a very organized program for children called the "primary." Very young children learn simple gospel principles like kindness and gratitude. I myself once served as a substitute teacher for the class for five-year-old, where I taught the lesson, "Why I am grateful for fish." Older children learn basic gospel principles in a somewhat more sophisticated way, though still simplified compared to adult teaching.

Teachings typically focus on Jesus Christ and how to be better Christians. We also teach aspects of the history of our own church, with the purpose of tying Mormon stories to Christ's important messages. Children worship by learning to sing songs of praise, giving little sermons ("talks") to their fellow children, and listening to their adult teachers. Once a year they give a presentation to the whole congregation in our main worship meeting. This meeting is invariably the funniest meeting of the year.
