Hi. I haven’t been baptized yet, but I will be this Saturday. I’m so happy because I’ll be free from my sins, and because my mom accepts all of this. I never thought I’d be allowed to do it. My question is this: I really want to serve a mission. I’ve tried to learn a lot about it, but I can’t figure out how long I have to wait after my baptism to be able to serve. Can you help me? Thanks.

The Church’s missionary program is one of its most recognized characteristics.
Hi Alexandra. I'm happy to hear you've decided to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! The "LDS" Church has been such a blessing in my life. I'm certain it can be a blessing in yours as well. May God be with you on this exciting spiritual journey!

New members of the church spend a minimum of one year preparing for missionary service. I loved my two years of full-time missionary work. It's difficult, of course, but nothing is more spiritually satisfying than dedicating 100% of your time to God. How wonderful that you've already decided to be a missionary!
