I’ve been a member of the church for 12 years. My son went on his mission when he’d only been a member for two years. Many good things have come into my life since then, but for the past three years I’ve only been going to church two or three times a year. Every Sunday that I don’t go to church, I feel bad. I miss it a lot. I wake up to go to church, but then I just can’t muster up the courage. I feel bad about it, and it’s really bothering me. I don’t know what to do.

Hi sister. I'm happy you posted your question here. I know the feeling you experience when you don't go to church seems unpleasant, but the truth is it's a gift from God. God gives us these feelings to encourage us to change the course of our spiritual lives. He loves you so much, sister, and He's anxious to see you return to full church activity.
In the end, the decision to return to the church has to come from you. You are responsible for your own spirituality. It could be helpful, though, to ask others for help. Do you have a friend who could call you on Sunday morning to make sure you are going to church? Does your bishop know you want to return to full church activity, so he can also encourage you? Understand that you shouldn't shift responsibility for your spiritual progress onto anyone else. You need to get up and go to church on Sunday, independent of what others do to help you. But getting help certainly couldn't hurt. :)
You need the Gospel in your life! Don't lose the spiritual blessings God wants to give you. Act now to put your spiritual life in order.
God bless you, sister, as you make your way back. I'll pray for you.
