Hi friend. I think the fact that you're thinking about theological questions like these is excellent. The Holy Ghost and the Heavenly Mother are definitely not the same person. We know next to nothing about the Heavenly Mother, as she is rarely mentioned in Mormonism, perhaps because God has revealed so little about Her to us. On the other hand, we know a lot about the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the third member of the "Godhead" (a Mormon word more or less equivalent to "Trinity"). Unlike the Father and the Son, the Holy Ghost does not possess a body of flesh and bones. His role is to testify to our minds and hearts regarding important, usually theological truths.
This divine testifying usually comes after study, prayer, and pondering. For example, to know that the Book of Mormon is a true account of God's dealings with an ancient people, one must first study at least parts of the book. One must then ponder its teachings with a sincere heart and an open mind. Finally, pray to God, asking Him if the book is true. In His own due time, God will send the Holy Ghost to testify that the Book of Mormon is a true account. That's the Holy Ghost's primary role: to testify of truth.

We learn much from the scriptures about the Godhead. We know that the Father and the Son and Holy Ghost are three distinct individuals. We know that the Father and the son, Jesus Christ, are resurrected immortal perfect beings with bodies of celestialized flesh and blood and that the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and blood so as to be able to be and dwell in the hearts of the children of men. We do not however know much about our Heavenly Mother. She is sacred, and not talked about much at all - obviously by the wishes of our Father in Heaven. But as common sense would tell us, we must have a mother of our spirits, she is a glorified queen, and as the mother of our spirits must also have an immortal glorified body of flesh and bones also. So no, I do not think it is possible that the Holy Ghost is our Heavenly Mother.
But good question, keep up the good thought provoking questions.

Doctrine and Covenants 130:22 reads as follows: "The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's; the son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us." The Holy Ghost is not our Heavenly Mother as He is a member of the Godhead.
