I’m desperated, I’m a member of church since 2001 but inactive, married. Latetly things were not going ok in my marriage. I went for a couple beers and had sex with a prostitute with preservative, which I have already confessed to my wife, she forgave me, I took a blood test to look for any illness, the results indicate I don’t have any, however I’ve read that HIV takes some time to appear, my wife and I have been having sex with preservatives ever since, now I understand why God’s laws were given to mankind. I’m so afraid of being positive, I took one test already and will take another one anytime.

Please help me, I’m truly repented and now I’m looking for God but he seems not to answer…

For members of the church, Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God, our Savior and Redeemer through whom salvation is made possible. (Reflections of Christ)
Hi friend. I'm sorry you've committed this terrible sin. Brother, to be frank, one of the reasons you've made this mistake is because you haven't been strengthening yourself spiritually. You need to get your life back on the right track. I invite you to come back to church, brother. Talk with your bishop about the mistakes you've made and ask him to help you in your process of spiritual recovery. With help from your bishop, you'll be able to apply the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ in your life. If you need help coming back to church, what don't you request a visit from the missionaries? Don't delay. You need spiritual peace in your life, and you're only going to find it through Jesus Christ. Make things right with Him.

Fear is the opposite of faith, stop being afraid of your future. Yes you made a mistake, and you are also experiencing the consequences for your mistake... Seek out your bishop and confess your fault to him, (take your wife with you if she is on your side) and seek his council as well as priesthood blessings to counter your worry as well as any possible infections.

Per your marriage, don't drink anymore and don't seek sex outside your covenants!! Read the LDS Addiction Recovery Program (ARP) mauel and the book Sacred Intimacy (by Yorgason), that plus the added power of daily couple scripture reading and prayer together with your spouce will be enough to keep your marriage in tact... You just need to choose to be in that marriage.

Remember; forward, onward, and upward with Christ (He'll never leave you) (He never has)

Absolutely you should continue getting tested for HIV. Your present wife needs to be at peace in her heart. I hope you learned a lesson.
