Hello, couple of questions.. My husband will never join. If I do, what will happen to our marriage? We have two boys, his parents will likely not approve. He wownt be allowed to the Tample… Have you ever dealt with this situation? Do mormons enjoy a cup of tea? Tea is healthy and non addictive. There is a huge health benefit to it. Thanks!

For members of the church, Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God, our Savior and Redeemer through whom salvation is made possible. (Reflections of Christ)
Hi friend. I'm happy that you're considering joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love being a member of this Church. I hope you find the same spiritual peace and joy that I and millions of other people have found. My membership in this church has been the greatest blessing of my life.

While I'd never give up hope that your husband might one day join the church, modern-day prophets and apostles have made it clear that those who through no fault of their own cannot enjoy the blessings of a temple marriage in this life will be in no way denied future blessings in the life to come if they are otherwise faithful to the convenants (promises) they have made with God. Clearly this teaching would apply to your case if you decided to join the Church. God will certainly work things out for you in the next life if you're faithful. If your husband is not ready to accept Christ's restored gospel in this life, perhaps in the next life his new perspective will help him understand the importance of these things.

Hopefully the teachings you'll receive in the church will help strengthen your relationship with your husband, even if he doesn't accept the Church for himself. Certainly marriage is highly respected in Mormon culture. No one would encourage you to leave your husband, for example, if you decided to join the church, even if he decided not to join.

Mormons do drink herbal teas. Black and green tea contain high levels of caffeine, however, a substance Mormons generally avoid because we believe physical addictions can interfere with one's ability to connect with God.

About the marriage, I agree with what Vicente Bravo said

I would though add some information about the tea part. Many people, even inside the church, thinks that caffeine is the reason why we don't drink coffee or tea made by tea leaves. But if we follow that logic, we would be able to drink coffee and tea with low caffeine or no caffeine but we still don't do that. (but we drink herbal tea and barley drinks)

An article about that matter can be found here:

So why don't we drink tea from tea leaves? There's lots of possible answers for it.

I think myself that it's because of the world situation in these times. I have a mother myself who can't live without coffee and tea and will get great abstinenses if she doesn't get it. And it's not because she gets better because she drinks it.

My theory is that it's because of addiction, not caffeine. Can you drink cola? yes. Eat chocolate? Yes. So why is it restricted to coffee and tea? Because it's so widely popular, just like alcohol (and drugs for that matter). It's really popular to drink it so it's a risky one and maybe the reason Our heavenly Father asks us to not use it.

Of course, if you're getting addicted to anything, it's going under the Words of Wisdom. I hope it answered your question.
