What happens if someone violates the law of chastity, goes through the repentance process, but ends up committing the same sin again? This person is just getting ready to go on a mission. She doesn’t want to delay her mission and is very sad and confused.

Hi sister. Someone who has fallen back into sin needs to repent again. Such a relapse suggests that more spiritual healing is needed. Your bishop can certainly help with that. Each situation is unique, but violating the law of chastity is a serious sin. It's possible that the repentance process will require you to delay your mission. I know that's frustrating, but if your bishop believes it's necessary, trust that it's for the best. The problems that arise from leaving on a mission without repenting of serious sins are far greater then the problems that come from delaying a mission.
