My bishop won’t let us progress. He didn’t give the priesthood to my husband. We’ve been doing everything we’re suppose to, it’s just that my husband has to work and so can only go to church twice a month. We’re trying our best, holding family nights and everything. What can we do?

Hi sister. I'm sorry to hear about these challenges. It's excellent that you and your husband are working so hard to progress in the gospel. It would be great if your husband could rearrange his job schedule so he could come to church every Sunday. I know it's not always possible, but it's true that weekly church attendance does a lot to strengthen a person spiritually. It would be a great blessing for both of you.
I suggest you have a frank discussion with your bishop. Explain that your husband is going to church as often as he can, and that you yourself go to church every Sunday. Tell him that you have family home evening regularly and are trying hard to live the Mormon lifestyle. Make well-defined goals together to delineate a clear path to priesthood advancement.
You might also consider chatting with your stake president. I'm sure he could give you and your husband some excellent counsel too.
Most importantly, don't give up on Christ and His gospel! God loves you and is thrilled with your family's spiritual progress. Best of luck to you.
