How could I deal with diabolic possession as a member of the church? I know someone who seems to be struggling with this problem. Can the priesthood free him? How should I proceed?

Hi friend. The Bible teaches that diabolic possession is possible, but I believe it's exceedingly rare. Mental illnesses like schizophrenia are far more common and can sometimes look like possession. Priesthood blessings can help those who are sick (through spiritual comfort and, when it's God's will, physical improvement). They can also help in the rare cases of diabolic possession. Consequently, I recommend a priesthood blessing, followed by a doctor's appointment to evaluate your friend for mental-health problems. There are medications that help many people who struggle with mental illness live a normal life.
