Why wasn’t God there when the Japanese attached Pearl Harbor? There were more than 3,000 deaths! Why didn’t God so something? Thanks.

One Response to “What is there injustice in the world?”

Hi Candela. It's important to understand the purpose of life to know why God permits injustices. God didn't send us to earth to have a good time or to be comfortable. He never promised that good things would always happen to good people and that bad things would only happen to bad people. God has only one purpose for us. He wants us to grow spiritually to the point that we, of our own free will, will choose to follow Him. That's the only way we can reach our full potential as His children. This kind of spiritual growth requires that God allow individuals and groups to make their own decisions, even if those decisions are wrong. It breaks God's heart when His children do terrible things, but if He were consistently interfering with our free will, His eternal plan could not be realized. That plan must be His top priority.
