Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we can overcome sin and death. (Reflections of Christ)
Anonymous, That's a great question. First of all, I'll assume you're talking about having had sex outside of marriage? Obviously within the bonds of matrimony, sex is fully authorized and even encouraged by our Heavenly Father and His Church. But if you're speaking of extramarital sex, the answer is still yes, you most certainly can.
One of the most wonderful blessings our Heavenly Father has given us is the gift of repentance through the Atonement of His Son, Jesus Christ. No matter what you‘ve done in the past, Christ can forgive you for those sins. By covenanting with Him through baptism, this forgiveness should become even more full in your life: not that He forgives you any more nor less, but that the Gift of Holy Ghost will help you more fully experience the blessings that that forgiveness brings.
In short, Anonymous, you absolutely can join the Church. The only requirement for that is a determination to forsake your sins--whatever they may be--and follow Him in all that you do.
