Do you believe that Jesus Christ is God? Do you believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost as one God? Do you believe in hell? What does baptism mean in your religion? Do you believe that Joseph Smith is in heaven with God? Do you believe that Jesus Christ will return to the earth? I hope you can answer these questions to help clarify my doubts. Thanks.
Jesus Christ was Himself baptized in the Jordan river to provide an example for each of us. (Reflections of Christ)
Hi Juampy. I'm happy you posted your question here. We believe that Jesus Christ is God. He is the divine Son of our Heavenly Father, and we worship Him. God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Ghost are three beings that work together in perfect harmony as one monotheistic unit, the "Godhead." In this sense they are very much one.
Mormons do have a different view of heaven and hell than most other Christian denominations. We believe that most people will not go to hell. Those who truly dedicate themselves to God will have the opportunity to progress spiritually forever after the resurrection.
Baptism is a special religious ceremony that symbolizes the commitment to start a new life as a disciple of Jesus Christ. We believe that baptism should be performed by immersion in order to best follow Christ's example, since He too was baptized by immersion.
Only God can decide who will go to heaven and who will not. Joseph Smith was a good man. I think it is likely that he will go to heaven.
We do believe that Jesus will return to the earth in the last days. No one knows when He will return, but we try our best to live good lives so we'll be prepared when that day comes.
I hope these answers help.

For members of the church, Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God, our Savior and Redeemer through whom salvation is made possible. (Reflections of Christ)
Our church has a set of guiding principles called the Thirteen Articles of Faith. The very first one states "We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost." These three make up the Godhead. They preside over all the creations of our Father in Heaven.
According to the Encyclopedia of Mormonism, "Latter-day scriptures describe at least three senses of hell: (1) that condition of misery which may attend a person in mortality due to disobedience to divine law; (2) the miserable, but temporary, state of disobedient spirits in the spirit world awaiting the resurrection; (3) the permanent habitation of the sons of perdition, who suffer the second spiritual death and remain in hell even after the resurrection" (http://eom.byu.edu/index.php/Hell).
We believe that all people who seek eternal life must follow Christ's example and be baptized by immersion.
On January 1, 2000, the world leaders of our church issued a declaration called "The Living Christ", one section of which reads "We testify that He will someday return to earth... He will rule as King of Kings and reign as Lord of Lords, and every knee shall bend and every tongue shall speak in worship before Him. Each of us will stand to be judged of Him according to our works and the desires of our hearts."
