I wasn’t able to go on my mission because I had to confess some sins to my bishop. I went through a disciplinary counsel, and they told me that I would still have the opportunity to serve a mission after a year of preparing myself. My question is, will I be called back to the same mission? I was called to serve in Barcelona, Spain. Or will I be assigned to a different country? Will I have to turn in my papers all over again? Thanks.

Through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we can be freed from our sins.
Hi friend. First of all, let me congratulate you for your decision to repent of your past mistakes. It's not easy to confess your sins and accept the consequences. I know God will bless you for this important decision that you've made.

I don't know if you'll be called to the same mission. Perhaps your bishop could better answer that question. However, I can say that, wherever you're called, that will be the place the Lord wants you to be. Missionary service is hard, but it brings great spiritual peace. God bless you, brother!
