Children of a Loving Heavenly Father

by Jesse H. from HOPESandDREAMS -

As a new mother, my eyes have been opened to the beauty and sacredness of divine creation and the indescribable love that inevitably accompanies it. These new feelings and realizations have turned my heart towards how my own Heavenly Father must feel about me, despite my imperfections. Although at times I feel my spirituality surrenders to this mortal experience and the lessons God would have me learn, I remember that He sees me similarly to how I see my own sweet child: precious, full of promise and potential, willing to learn and grow, and nothing short of miraculous.

My Heavenly Father loves me, more than I could ever fully understand. But when I look into my son’s eyes, I catch a glimpse of that reality and keep the sacred truth of my own divine nature tight in my heart.

As a daughter of God–a real, exalted, Holy Father–I not only know my own worth, but also the worth of those around me, as I remember they, too, are sacred children of God.

Romans 8:16-17: “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
