Lately when I pray, it’s becoming more and more like a conversation between two people and less like a subject or peasent tentativly approaching her master. Sometimes, when I’m reading my scriptures or schoolwork and have a question, I’ll start “talking” with Him like He’s actually there with me, without all the kneeling and bowing and invvocations. I even feel that He “talks” back because my mind will be lead to new concepts and ideas that I’ve never considered before, until I’m either less confused or have the answer. Things like this even happen when I’m worried, nervous, or anxious about something. I’ll start tlaking and asking for comfort/release and He’ll let a question of mine rise to the top and together He helps me follow all the tangents until I realize that I’d forgotten my worry and I’m not scared anymore. What I am after any of these is just as relaxed(if not more than)as if I had been with my family, close friends, or myself. It reminds me that all my prayers are usually answered with peace or moments of “intuition”, none of that “burning bosom” stuff. It doesn’t seem that this way of communticating is traditional, and people seem shocked when I tell them this. What can I do or say to them to help them understand that I’m not trying to be sacreligious, or appear holier than them?

Hello Clarissa. You have a beautiful relationship with our Heavenly Father. A relationship I would love to have. This is a most reverent relationship that only those who have a similar one can relate.

Matthew 7:6

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Your question is interesting because I expect you will have your answer before any of us get a chance to reply.

Clarissa, I love the sensation that I feel when I am communicating with my Heavenly Father. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I was doing some research on the LDS humanitarian services when I stumbled across your question (but somehow I don't think I "stumbled" across it ;D). Thank you for sharing your relationship with Heavenly Father. I can tell now that I needded to read this.

I don't really know how to answer your question but I do agree with Peter's answer! You will most likely have your answer before we get to reply!
