I’m Christian (nearly) different belief (really confused) and I’m dating a mormon but I was about to get baptized to be recognized as a Christian but, I can’t anymore I have a question if I turn Christian wouldn’t it be a sin to our Father if I end up converting again?. I believe mormon in the modest respected way there beliefs are understandable but I’ve heard there wedding ceremony’s the ones in the chapel arn’t as great as they seem. Is it true?

Baptism into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints requires full immersion in water by a person who holds the priesthood authority to baptize.
Hi Lady Eve. I'm happy you're trying to get to know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Baptism is a very sacred ordinance. In any religion, it symbolizes a sacred commitment to God. However, it's also important to be baptized by someone who has the proper authority from God, called the "priesthood." This authority was had among Christ's ancient apostles, but it was lost when human philosophies were mixed with Christ's pure gospel. Fortunately, the authority has been restored in our days through a latter-day prophet and apostle named Joseph Smith.

That's why it's important to be baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Baptism in other churches is an important symbol of one's commitment to God, but even those who are baptized elsewhere need to be rebaptized by someone who has authority from God to realize that important ceremony.
