The Church's missionary program is one of its most recognized characteristics.
Hi friend. Mormons certainly are a missionary-oriented people. The gospel of Jesus Christ is transforming our lives for the better, and we're eager to share His message with the world. However, the scriptures make it clear that Mormons will never "dominate by numbers," as President Boyd K. Packer, one of the apostles of our church, once said. The goal is not necessarily to convert the whole world; the goal is to reach as many people as possible with the message of Jesus Christ. When Christ returns, Mormons will almost certainly still be in the minority. Hope this answer helps.

I think I read once that the world will not end until the gospel is AVAILABLE to all the world. Which I took to mean, when there are missionaries in every country and the Book of Mormon has been translated to every language. But that's my interpretation of a memory of reading something that may or may not have been said or written by an actual church authority. Even if my memory IS accurate, This does NOT mean that the whole world will convert. In fact, the scriptures make it clear that they will not.

During the last days the gospel will be preached to all nations all over the world before the Lord returns. The message of Jesus Christ wil be sent to everyone on the earth. Gods kingdom will consist of many people from varouis backgrounds.
