Alright. I’m LDS, I’m straight, and I do believe that homosexual behavior is a sin. I am against it, however I understand the fact that genetics play a large part and that many don’t consider it “wrong.” Anyway, I personally support same-sex marriage, not because I agree with it, but I feel people deserve it. Gays are humans that share real love. I respect the law and I believe in separation of church and state, and equal rights. I was just wondering.. Is my support of same-sex marriage okay in the church? I know the majority doesn’t support it, and I’m absolutely fine with that. I heard that President Monson said members CAN disagree with the churchs opposition to same-sex marriage as long as it doesn’t lead to Apostasy.. Which it wont for me, but.. Did he really say this? I cant find it anywhere.
Yes you have the right as a feee moral agent to agree or disagree with same sex marriage as long as it doesnt lead you to apostasy. Yes president Monson did say that. Its true gay brother and sisters are human and show real love towards their fellow mankind and each other. I can testify this to you as a gay Mormon myself who supports smae sex mariage and still has a testimony of the church and the Book of Mormon being true.
