Is it considered adultery if the man has been separated from his wife for months and the divorce is being processed? How serious is the disciplinary action?

Hi friend. I'm happy you posted your question on my website. Perhaps others will have differing opinions, and I encourage them to chime in, but I personally would be reluctant to start a romantic relationship until after your divorce is finalized. In the mean time, you can certainly pursue a friendship with the lady that interests you. Any future romantic relationship that might develop should be built on a solid foundation of friendship anyhow, so any time you spend developing your friendship while waiting for your divorce would be time well spent.
Hope this answer helps! Best of luck to you.

That depends on what you've done.
Adultery is defined in the Bible Dictionary as "The unlawful association of men and women. Although generally having reference to illicit activity of married persons, the scriptures often does not distinguish between the married and the unmarried...."
Go talk to you Bishop about it, especially if the Spirit is bugging you enough that you feel like posting it online for help.
God already knows all of that which you have or haven't done, and like the woman taken in adultery, no one is going to stone you, a Bishop's job is to get you help (or give counsel), IF you need and seek for his help.
It is NEVER a bad idea to discuss your life, and what your desired course is, with a Priesthood leader.
