Hi friend. Your past issues with the law of chastity should have no impact on your conversion. Prior to your baptism, you'll have a confidential interview to ensure that you're ready for conversion. As I recall from my own missionary days ten years ago, you'll be asked only if you're willing to keep the law of chastity following your baptism. Certainly, if for some reason your past history should come up, a simple explanation that you've repented will suffice. Mormons are strong believers in repentance. Once you've put past mistakes behind you and applied Christ's atoning sacrifice in your life, there's no need to dwell on past sins. Hope this answer helps.

The next, and sometimes hardest step, is to learn to forgive yourself. Chad D. Richardson's talk "Forgiving Oneself" is a masterpiece on the subject.
God loves you no matter your sins. Stephen E. Robinson's book "Believing Christ" talks about our need to become perfected in Christ and the fact that it is through him that we are saved in the end.
Good luck and know God is quick to forgive and always willing to run to succor you if we but turn and seek his help. (D&C 58: 42-43, Ether 12: 27, Matt 11: 28-30)

When someone repents of sins God is able to forgive no matter what church you belong to. If you do join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints then when you are baptized all your previous sins are washed away.

If you would like more on the subject search out President Boyd K. Packer's comments and talks concerning forgiveness, also Shayne Bowen's 2006 conference talk "The Atonement can Clean, Reclaim, and Sanctify your Life"
