I’m 18 years old and I’m passing through hard times. A friend of mine from your church once told me that the church helps her feel more spiritual and helps her to be a better person. I’d really like to take the first step to get to know your church better, but I don’t know what to do, and I don’t know how I will be treated since I wasn’t born a mormon. I live in Argentina, and I really want to feel better about myself and my relationship with God. Thanks.

Hi friend. I'm very sorry to hear that you're passing through hard times. It's excellent, though, that even during these difficult times you're still interested in your own spiritual development. I'm also very happy that you have a Mormon friend who is such a wonderful example of a believer. I agree with what you're Mormon friend said; the church has also helped me feel better spiritually and has helped me be a better person than I would have been otherwise. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been the greatest blessing of my life.

Many people who are interested in Mormonism are hesitant to visit a Mormon chapel, just like you. They don't realize that Mormons love to have visitors. In fact, most Mormons alive today are converts themselves. They began their own spiritual journeys by visiting a Mormon chapel and getting to know the members of the church there. We would love to have you come visit us as well!

Fortunately, there are over 50,000 full-time volunteer Mormon missionaries who visit people in their homes to share with them the message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Since you seem worried about visiting the church on your own, I'm sure these missionaries would be happy to go with you. It's always helpful to visit the church with someone you know, someone who can explain things properly.

I also recently wrote an article entitled "How can I Join the Church?" that you may find helpful. God bless you!

Mormon Missionaries
Missionaries in Alagoas, Brazil.
I am old now, and at peace. However, during my rebellious youth I was confused. So many subjects had numerous opposing views. In my teens, I embarked on a great odyssey in search of "truth". I was non-religious though always spiritually minded. When I found truth, I was quite surprised where my journey took me. I found what I was looking for in the mormon church.

This church has helped me turn around my life; I was headed for a very troubled, rebellious life until I found it.

I know for a fact that this is the true church. Contact the missionaries and they will help you too to know the same. There is a certain way- God does in fact talk to us, if we know the right formula.
