I’m receiving two sister missionaries in my home three times per week. They are very friendly but are unable to answer some of my questions about the Book of Mormon. I’ve been able to answer a lot of my questions by reading the questions and answers on this website, but the answers the sisters give sometimes seem incomplete. They believe in the church and they say it’s true, but they can’t always explain away my doubts. I’ve been going to sacrament meetings on Sunday and have been studying on my own a lot. Is there something wrong with me? I consider myself to be reasonably intelligent. What should I do?

Missionaries in Alagoas, Brazil.
Hi friend. I'm very happy to hear that you're meeting with the missionaries. Missionaries do a wonderful job introducing people to the Gospel. Most of them are very sincere and very excited about sharing what they believe. However, it's important to remember that most missionaries are very young. While they know a lot about the Gospel, they may not be able to answer every theological question. The work they do is very important, but they are not necessarily the most gospel-knowledgeable person in a given Mormon congregation. I suggest you learn from the sister missionaries the important things that they can teach you. When they can't answer your questions, continue to study on your own, visiting reliable Mormon websites like mormon.org and AllAboutMormons.com. If you have any specific questions that the sister missionaries aren't able to answer, feel free to post them on my website! I'd be happy to help in any way I can.
May God bless you as you contemplate making this very important decision, the decision to join the restored church of Jesus Christ.

No there is nothing wrong with you. http://www.Mormon.org has a section where new converts share their stories and what they did when they hit the wall that you seem to be hitting right now.
I was looking for the video that talks about a man who went through what you are going through, well not exactly of course, but he tells of how he knew he was a smart person and he felt like there was something to this church, but he didn't know what the next step was. He talked to the bishop who told him maybe he just needed to take a chance, and take a step forward in faith and see if Heavely Father would still be there after his step. Turns out the man chose to be baptized (yes huge step) but it turned out Heavenly Father was just waiting for him on the other side, and his choice was correct.
I testify that it is a correct step and your life will be changed for the better if you chose to take it.
So I hope it works and hang in there. Browse aroud on that sight (www.Mormon.org) to see if you can't find an answer to your question, or ask your question.
Last, talk to the bishop of the ward you are attending to see if he can help.
Hang in there sister you're on the correct path and God will support you.

Have you thought about asking a bishop? Or just asking the Lord? I think something we all have to keep in mind is that they're just young women. They don't have all the answers. The Lord answers in mysterious ways, and at his own time. The best thing to do is to read the Book of Mormon then pray about your questions. You also might want to have a fast too. Good luck friend! God bless!
