I have been meeting with missionaries, and I like what they say and I love reading the Book of Mormon. Even though I have been praying to know if it is true I have not got that “yes it is” felling yet. What do you think the problem is?

There is no problem. God speaks to everyone differently. Perhaps you do know but you want a greater sign to know that you know.

My mother when she was a teenager went to a church retreat where she pulled a Joseph Smith, ie went into the nearby woods and prayed to know the truth. She didn't get the Father and our Savior appearing, but did have a thought that basically was 'you know the truth'... I never had any light or vision, but I too have prayed to know, and there wasn't any fan fair, but when I ask myself "Do I know this church is true?" I always feel peace in my heart. Ask yourself the same question and just accept that without fanfair or a vision you may already know.

Keep doing what you're doing. Study, attend church meetings, meet with the missionaries, pray and fast. If I remember my church history correctly, Brigham Young waited something like two years for his testimony! Hopefully, of course, it won't be that long for you. But be patient. Remember the Lord has his own time table for things and after the trial of your faith you will receive a witness.

Also, don't expect a huge thunderous revelation or anything, you know? The Holy Ghost is a still, small voice. Things that are good are of Christ. If you feel joy and peace when you read the Book of Mormon, what does that say to you?

I hope that helps and wish you all the best in your search for truth! I'll be praying for you too!
