Do mormons believe in demons? I was a mormon for 20 years, born and raised, and I never heard about any demons aside from the ones in the Bible that Jesus cast out. Are there just… not any demons in the mormon theology?

Hi friend. It's true that Mormons don't spend much time talking about demons. They prefer to focus on more positive topics. Mormons don't see demons as red-skinned creatures with horns and pointed teeth. We do believe that before the earth was created, Satan, a fallen angel, led a third of the spirit children of our Heavenly Father (the "hosts of heaven") out of the divine presence. These spirits were never sent to earth and never received physical bodies. On rare occasions they may interfere in human lives, and so could rightly be called "demons."

I don't think mormons have demons in their theology, no, though there are certainly evil spirits who behave in a similar way (e.g. exerting their influence over a certain place). My uncle once cast one of these spirits away from a woman while on his mission, but he doesn't like to talk about it so I'm uncertain of the details. I hope I've answered your question.

Yes we do. We just don't focus too much on demons but we do believe in them.

There are still demons but we just don't talk about them. Personally I have had several demon experiences in my life, all of which I had help form authorized men of God in removing. We don't talk about them because the more time you spend paying attention to demons the more time they'll spend paying attention to you too... And you don't want that..... Trust me.
