Someone told me that there was a picture of Nostradamus in the SLC temple. She said that Mormons believed he could predict the future through visions and prophsey. I thought God only gave visions and prophsey to belivers. Please let me know the answers. Thanks.

Hi Jim. I have to confess that I chuckled a bit when I read your question. Whoever told you that there's a picture of Nostradomus inside the Mormon temple, or that Mormons believe he was a true prophet, was either misinformed or pulling your leg. Most Mormons would agree with me that Nostradamus' "prophesies" were so vague that they could be interpreted to mean just about anything; he did not have the divine gift of prophesy. In fact, a search of the vast database of church talks, teachings, and scriptures available on lds.org reveals that the word "Nostradamus" does not appear even once.
