Anonymous from Provo is right, especially when he says that "I believe there is no sin too great, no transgression so vile, and no rebellion so long that is exempt from a full and complete forgiveness through, proper repentance and, our lord Jesus Christ's atonement. "
I think in practice there are very few people who actually deny the Holy Ghost to the point that they become "sons of perdition," as the scriptures call it. And the reason they are sons of perdition is because they refuse to repent. As long as we sincerely repent when we sin, we can be made right with God through the sacrifice and grace of Jesus Christ.

Yes we do.
In matthew the scriptures state "31 ¶ wherefore I say unto you, all manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32 and whosoever speaketh a word against the son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."
We read in Alma the scriptures telling us "6 For behold, if ye deny the Holy Ghost when it once has had place in you, and ye know that ye deny it, behold, this is a sin which is unpardonable; yea, and whosoever murdereth against the light and knowledge of God, it is not easy for him to obtain forgiveness;... "
Joseph Smith taught that to be guilty of 'the unpardonable sin' it is like 'you saying that it is dark as night at noon day', or in other words you know God through the Holy Ghost, and then start to deny the Spirit and you do so over and over and you know that you do it. Then you continue down that path of just not wanting anything to do with the Holy Ghost and you come out in open rebellion against God.
On the other hand the devils like to tell people they are lost after one mistake where you know you chose wrong. This is false. In order to become a son of perdition you need to know God first and then openly turn on him continually for life.
On the lighter side - I believe there is no sin too great, no transgression so vile, and no rebellion so long that is exempt from a full and complete forgiveness through, proper repentance and, our lord Jesus Christ's atonement.
So choose today to seek repentance, keep on the safe side, and just stick close to Jesus and you'll be ok.

D+C 19:6-7; 10-12 reads:
6 Nevertheless, it is not written that there shall be no end to this torment, but it is written endless torment. 7 Again, it is written eternal damnation;...
10... For, behold, I am endless, and the punishment which is given from my hand is endless punishment, for endless is my name. Wherefore
11 Eternal punishment is God's punishment.
12 endless punishment is God's punishment.
I would just like to add to the other wonderful answers these scriptures. It is often misunderstood that sins such as shedding the blood of the innoccent result in a never ending punishment since that is how we define eternal, but as you can see in verse 11 that it is God's punishment. Just remember:
D+C 19:17 But if they would not repent they must suffer even as I;
And I doubt those who see God and know Him and then deny Him are seeking repentance.
