Baptism into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints requires full immersion in water by a person who holds the priesthood authority to baptize.

The LDS Church & the wonderful people in it have helped me to re-establish the close relationship with God that I lost 20 years ago. At that time, things went wrong & I couldn’t work out why. I moved away into New Age beliefs and subsequently atheism. Although all was well with my life, it felt like something was missing. Out of the blue, I got interested in the LDS Church and with its emphasis on family & community, felt that this was in tune with where I was right now. My recent baptism & confirmation was an incredibly powerful and moving experience. Through prayer, I am finally starting to properly address what went wrong in the first place and beginning to arrive at some meaningful answers. I would say to anyone seriously considering joining, just make that step! Learning about the gospels & the Church is a lifelong thing. You are far better off getting rid of the baggage by baptism and with the powerful gift of the Holy Spirit through confirmation.
