All About Mormons

One of my most favouritest baby cousin ever had just came out of hospital from a common virus; meningococcal. He was only 3 at the time. Him and his family were not members.. Although his dad was very inactive and hadnt attended church for several years. My whole entire extended family was here, us being islanders having big families, and yet everyone was here. We are surrounding my dear cousin.. The doctor asks to talk to little Kodys parents, they leave the room with the docter and I see him talking to them and then there was a sudden pause.. My aunty dropped to the ground crying her eyes out.. I knew right then and there what was happening and run to Kody and hug him like Ive never hugged him before.. Everyone asks “Whats wrong Nessaa?” I was too teary to talk.. My uncle walks in and tells us the news.. He said “Hes not gonna live.. This is his last night” Everyone runs to his bedside crying; all except my father.. My dad rings the missionaries and our bishop to come and bless my cousin Kody. My dad is 1st counsellor of the bishopric. The doctor did not allow more visitors for visiting hours were closed but.. My parents begged the doctor.. They blessed him, we all went home praying for him. That was the scariest, rarest nights ever. I had never felt this way before. I had this idea he wasnt gonna be alive the next day, but then again I had that faint hope in my heart knowing that with the power of the Lord and the power of the priesthood he would be alive and healthy. We just got to the hospital and we are walking very fast wanting to know how he is.. I see him on the bed.. Smiling at me while I was walking in, I stop walking and run and hug him he said “Nessaa Nessaa!” The doctor said his health levels totally changed after that night. That really shows us the true power of the priesthood. I trully do know the church is true. That our living prophet is now Thomas S. Monson. And that this is the true church upon the face of the earth. Kody is now 12 and healthy. He has not yet been baptised but is on the way to be.
