All About Mormons

So here’s a story of a girl. An optimistic girl, one not quick to judge and just about four months ago one event would change her life forever. She had little confidence in herself. She tried to do everything as best as she could. But she failed many times, just as we all do. She was hopeless, but that is another story all on its own. She was still a young girl. Just 18 years old in fact and I guess you could say she was an outgoing girl. She wanted happiness, but didn’t know where to find it. So when a friend invited her out for a friendly night of bowling she figured “why not I’ve got nothing better to do” Little did she know that this decision would change her life, that God was working in ways that no one knew, that seven little words would become her entire life “Would you like the Book of Mormon” At this point only certain people made her day. But when she did smile, it was an unforgettable sight. She was sad but she was always friendly and loved new people. Very awkward at first, but very open once you knew her. She was confused many times and always wondered what her purpose was. She really did believe in a “God”. Only because she was raised around religion, but she fell of track when she realized she was in the wrong church. She had a big heart and was ready to find something to live for because if you didn’t know if you have nothing to live for then you’re living like you’re not alive so she agreed to take the lessons and she’ll be the first to tell you that she didn’t think anything would come of it but she was wrong that lesson would prove to her once and for all that there is a true church and that there is a purpose for her. The moment she knew this church was true was when she read the testimony of Joseph Smith that was the first time she ever felt the spirit and he was practically shouting to her heart. She’s happy now sure she has struggles and sure she still makes mistakes but she’s been baptized and has the Holy Ghost with her so she isn’t too worried, She may never have a cover on a known magazine and most people she knew before are confused by her new life style. Maybe it’s the fact she doesn’t swear anymore or maybe it’s the fact that she stopped drinking tea and coffee but mostly it the true happiness she shows she smiles now and she knows why she looks forward to every Sunday now and she doesn’t go a night without reading her scriptures she prays all the time and says its cause she’s missed talking to God. I believe she has learned a lot she loves life and learned that anyone can be gone tomorrow including herself and with that, she’ll never take anyone or anything for granted she has good morals now she is almost 100% satisfied with the person she’s become yet still she strives to be better, someone important, someone you can look up too but she knows that the best thing she can do is share her testimony so who is this girl you ask? Her name is Autumn Elizabeth. And she is a proud member or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and her story is still being written. It’s amazing how God changes life he does it in ways he knows will work he does it when he knows you are ready and he does it in way that you will never forget how beautiful it is.
