An Incredible Member of the Church!
by -I recently read the story of a remarkable Mormon. Dorothy Wagner, born in 1904, was baptized when she was 103 years old! A Presbyterian for nearly a century, Sister Wagner is one of the oldest converts in the history of the Church.
A few years ago, sister Wagner was driving around on Easter Sunday when she noticed a little church on the side of the road. She walked into the chapel and introduced herself. She was very surprised to learn that the Church she’d found was the same Church that owned and operated her favorite TV station, BYUTV. “I stay up all night listening to the scripture discussions. I just love to hear them,” Sister Wagner said.
“What I appreciate are the members are so sweet and good and helpful. They have all the qualities that Church people should have,” Sister Wagner said.
When she was 104, Sister Wagner went through the temple for the first time. “It was a marvelous experience just going,” she said. “It’s something you would rememberÂ…Everything about (the temple) is so pretty, clean and lovely. Everyone is so sweetÂ… I’m perfectly satisfied with the Mormon church. I can’t say enough about the people.”
