Hi friend. In my experience, there's almost always a way out of difficult situations. I think back on my own life, about the times when I've felt trapped. Time and time again, God provides a way to improve things. Try your best to find a new job, of course. Typically, we have to work for the blessings that God eagerly wants to give us. But after you've done everything you can, put the rest in God's hands.

It's also important that your personal identity not be entirely rooted in your job. Before a person is a plumber, doctor, or accountant, they should see themselves as a child of God. A person's divine heritage never changes. Jobs come and go, but if we see ourselves first and foremost as children of God, we'll be much less likely to question our personal worth when things in life go wrong.

I suggest you continue to cultivate your spirituality. Perhaps the Mormon missionaries can help. The church also has resources to help those looking for employment. I suggest you chat with your local Mormon bishop to see if there are any local programs that might be able to help you.

I'm not certain what you mean by "quit my life," but if you're thinking about harming yourself, I also encourage you to speak with a psychologist or psychiatrist. Depression is a serious medical condition that needs medical help. Aside from caring for your religious needs, also look after your medical needs.

Let me know if you have any additional questions. I'm happy to help.

I am so sorry to hear that you lost your job. I can imagine it seems like the future may be dark and uncertain. However, because of Jesus Christ, there is great hope. In fact, if you choose to trust Him completely and follow Him, you are guaranteed to have a joyful future. He has put us in a world with challenges and disappointments so that we have opportunities to grow and to understand the depth of His love for us. He has told us, though, "I will not leave you comfortless" (John 14:18). He has felt this pain for you, through the miracle and mercy of His Atonement, and He wants to stand by you as you move forward.

I encourage you to look to "the word which healeth the wounded soul" (Jacob 2:8). A talk that gives me great hope in difficult times is "Sunday Will Come" by Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin. I invite you to read it, and there you will find strength.

I also hope this scripture from Ether 12:4 can bring you comfort: "Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God."

Lastly, I would look at 3 Nephi, chapter 22, verse 10. The love that God expresses there has helped me through pain and worry before. I pray that you will find hope in the bright future that will come to you! You can do this!
