My boyfriend just went on his mission. He’s going to serve in Brazil. I’ve been spending a lot of time reading all the comments posted here about your religion. I can’t really complain about his missionary service, because I think it’s going to be a great blessing in our lives. Just the same, it’s difficult to have him so far away for such a long time, with only email to communicate. What advice can you guys give me?

Hi friend. I'm happy you posted your question here and that you've enjoyed reading the comments on this site. I know it's hard when someone you love is far away, but you should see this time as an opportunity. Your boyfriend will be spiritually growing on his mission. He'll learn more and more about how to dedicate his life to God. While he's gone, you need to be growing too so that you'll be "equally yoked" when he returns. Use this time that he's away to focus on developing your spiritual life.
The Church’s missionary program is one of its most recognized characteristics.
Since it seems that the two of you are thinking about marriage one day, I encourage you to continue to learn more about our church. Religious unity tends to strengthen a marriage. Aside from reading this site, you can also read the Church's official site, which has a lot of wonderful information.
