Hello. Thank you so much for answering my question. Thank you also for your kind invitation to ask other questions. I would love to view General Conference and was told on the screen to instal Adobe Flash Player which I did (a miracle as I am not computer literate) I now can get in to see it but it keeps starting and stopping, sort of juddering, I cant think of what to do next. I used to be a member of Heavenly Fathers church 15 years ago and I miss it terribly But did something terrible so I cant go back. I have repented to my Heavenly Father And my heart brakes every day as I miss it so much. There has never been a day where I have not cried. I am so so very sorry for what I have done. The chapel in Glasgow Scotland in the UK is such a beautiful church and I was once very happy there.

I have been given a second hand laptop and a dongle to get the internet at home just 5 days ago and have visited your site often and it has given me greatest joy but sadness I am not in church.

Thank you so much for the valuable work you do in the name of our Saviour and for me.

I leave you knowing the church is the true church of Jesus Christ and that I love Him very very much.

Take care

God bless you

Hi sister. I'm thrilled to learn that you still have a testimony of the church and that this site has helped you feel God's spirit. Receiving kind messages like yours helps me remember why I created AllAboutMormons.com in the first place. Thank you so much for your comment.
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints worldwide gather twice yearly for what they call general conference.
Depending on the speed of your Internet connection and laptop, watching videos over the internet may be difficult regardless of the site. If the church's website isn't working well for you, though, you might try the Mormon Channel on YouTube. The Church has posted many videos there, including videos from General Conference. Youtube.com is a site dedicated entirely to delivering video, so I think it may have a better chance of running smoothly.

If you send me your address, I'd be happy to send you a subscription of the Church's official magazine as well. That way no Internet connection would be required! :)

Most importantly, I want you to know that you absolutely can come back to the church. To suppose otherwise--to suppose that you can't repent--is to deny the central message of our faith. I love the recent words of Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, one of the apostles, given in 2012:

"However late you think you are, however many chances you think you have missed, however many mistakes you feel you have made or talents you think you don't have, or however far from home and family and God you feel you have traveled, I testify that you have not traveled beyond the reach of divine love. It is not possible for you to sink lower than the infinite light of Christ's Atonement shines.

Whether you are not yet of our faith or were with us once and have not remained, there is nothing in either case that you have done that cannot be undone. There is no problem which you cannot overcome. There is no dream that in the unfolding of time and eternity cannot yet be realized. Even if you feel you are the lost and last laborer of the eleventh hour, the Lord of the vineyard still stands beckoning. ‘Come boldly [to] the throne of grace,' and fall at the feet of the Holy One of Israel. Come and feast ‘without money and without price' at the table of the Lord."

These words from Elder Holland remind me also of the words of the prophet Isaiah: "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool" (Isaiah 1:18).

Sister, I want you to come back to the church! I'm certain you can recover from your sins. I know you can. Continuing to live with this heartbreak is a far greater tragedy than whatever sin it is that you committed.

Why don't you invite the missionaries to visit with you? They could help you come back. I'm certain your bishop would also be happy to help.

Please let me know if there's anything more I can do as well. God bless you.

Everyone can come back! If you talk to the Bishop I am sure he will help you find a way!

In the meantime, why not head on over to LDS.org. On the bottom of those web pages there is a Feedback link. If you click on it and then describe the problem you are having viewing General Conference, the very helpful volunteers and Church Service Missionaries on the LDS.org Response Team will likely be able to help you find a way to see General Conference on your computer.

God bless.

The Church may be true, but no computer operating system is, and most internet providers are telestial at best. Pamela and Gringo have given you some mighty good advice: get some tech-savvy Latter-day Saints to help. Curiously, the younger they are, the smarter they tend to be about this kind of thing.

Felipe Santana: "The Church may be true, but no computer operating system is." You have obviously never used Linux. :)
